Since 1985, October has been recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During October, many do their part to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds to research a cure. Chances are you or someone you know has been affected by Breast Cancer. To do our part, Vin de Set is offering “Pink Plate” specials to help support funding for this cause. For every Pink Plate ordered, $1 for lunch and $2 for dinner per item, will be donated to the Siteman Cancer Center of Barnes-Jewish and Washington University School of Medicine. You’ll also see all of us at Vin de Set boasting our pink ribbons in support of the cause!
The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine is an international leader in cancer treatment, research, prevention, education and community outreach. It is the only cancer center in Missouri. It is also the only Cancer Center within a 240-mile radius of St. Louis to hold the prestigious Comprehensive Cancer Center designation given by the National Cancer Institute. In addition to treatment and research programs, Siteman pursues an active outreach program consisting of cancer screening and education that reaches thousands of individuals throughout the St. Louis region.
Please help us in the fight against Breast Cancer and be sure to check out our “Pink Plate” special of the day when you visit. You can visit www.siteman.wustl.edu to learn more about this organization and how you can contribute to their research and treatment to fight disease.
